The 500-acre Post Falls Community Forest located adjacent to Q’emiln (pronounced Ka mee lin) Park provides abundant recreational opportunities from avid outdoor enthusiasts to families and kids – a space for everyone to enjoy! You’ll find 10 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails that link into 20 miles of loop routes, as well as rock climbing, kayaking, fishing, picnicking or just relaxing by the river. The Forest contains 2 miles of Spokane River frontage with several swimming holes and a whitewater playground for kayakers and anglers. Each season of the year is unique and worth experiencing.
The network of hiking trails in the Post Falls Community Forest runs through ravines, along the river and up and down the hillside connecting the three trailheads – two located at Q’emiln Park and one located up the hill on Riverview Drive. You can choose a leisurely or challenging path; there are routes for everyone. All trails are blazed with colored circles and diamonds for easy navigation throughout the forest. Trail maps are posted at both trailheads and can also be downloaded below to help you plan your trip before going.
